Writing
From the age of 16 she already expresses her feelings in the form of poetry or songs. She works purely intuitively. She writes in Dutch, German and English. Since living on Tenerife and La Palma, she also tries her hand at Spanish. She is a typical autodidact.
Photography
She has been interested in photography for years and likes to combine her talent as a photographer with digital art.
Drawing
Aagje made the very first drawings in the year 2004, after she had found peace in her heart with her father and was able to accept his talents, which she had inherited from him.
Painting
When it comes to painting, she likes to work with different techniques, such as acrylic painting and acrylic pouring. Also the encaustic technique is very suitable for intuitive work and gives unique results.

About the artist
Born in Utrecht/Netherlands, Aagje already lived in Germany for many years. From 2005 to 2012, however, she was on the road on the Canary Islands. For a period of about three years, she even lived almost without money. This was a beautiful, interesting and above all very human experience. But the Odenwald, a wonderful natural area, has called her back again. In the midst of nature she finds the peace to live her creativity to the full. At the age of 16, she wrote her first poems. In 2004, at the age of fifty, having finally found peace in her heart with her late father, she was able to accept his inherited talents and start creating. The dam was broken, finally. Since then her life has consisted of drawing, painting, writing and much more. She works with what life gives her.
Aagje sees each picture as a poem without words.
Since writing is also an expression of her, some pictures are accompanied by a poem.
